Frequently Asked Questions

The questions we hear most often — from first enquiry through to funds disbursed.

If your question is not answered here, contact us — a named adviser will respond within one working day.

Is ASPIC a lender?

No. ASPIC is a credit broker, not a lender. We compare across a panel of lenders — including some who do not advertise to the public — and arrange the facility that best fits your circumstances. We are paid by the lender on completion, and we disclose that commission to you.

How much does it cost to use ASPIC?

For most introductions there is no fee to you — we are remunerated by the lender. Where a case is complex enough to require a bespoke advisory fee, we agree that with you in writing before any work begins. You will never receive an unexpected invoice.

Will an enquiry affect my credit score?

Our initial "check your rate" step uses a soft credit search, which is not visible to other lenders and does not affect your score. A hard search only happens later, with your explicit consent, once you decide to proceed with a specific lender.

How long does the process take?

It depends on the product. A bridging facility can complete in days; a commercial mortgage or structured facility typically takes a few weeks. At our first conversation we will give you a realistic timeline for your specific case.

What information will I need to provide?

Typically proof of identity and address, and — depending on the loan — income or accounts, details of the asset or purpose, and existing borrowing. We tell you exactly what is needed up front so nothing stalls mid-process.

What currencies and countries do you cover?

We arrange finance in 40+ currencies across every jurisdiction where sanctions permit. Some products are region-specific; we will tell you what is available for your situation.

Do you offer Sharia-compliant finance?

Yes. We arrange Sharia-compliant personal and business finance through UK-authorised Islamic banks, with named Sharia Supervisory Committee governance. See our Islamic finance pages for detail.

Is my data safe?

Yes. All sessions are encrypted, documents are stored securely, and we handle your data under UK GDPR. See our Security and Privacy pages for specifics.
